What Do AEDP Training Levels and Certification Mean?

A therapist’s level, as listed in the directory, indicates that the therapist has completed the training, supervision and/or AEDP Certification reviews as indicated below.

Level I AEDP Training:

  1. AEDP Immersion Course
    or
  2. AEDP Essential Skills: 1 year

Level II AEDP Training:

  1. AEDP Immersion Course
    AEDP Core Training: 1 year
    or
  2. AEDP Essential Skills: 1 year
    AEDP Core Training: 1 year
    or
  3. AEDP Essential Skills: 1 year
    Supervision hours: 10 Individual or 15 Group
    or
  4. AEDP Core Training: 1 year
    Supervision hours: 10 Individual or 15 Group
    or
  5. AEDP Immersion Course
    Supervision hours: 30 Individual or 45 Group

Level III AEDP Training:

  1. AEDP Immersion Course
    AEDP Essential Skills: 1 year
    AEDP Advanced Skills (aka ES2): 1 year
    Supervision hours: 20 Individual or 30 Group
    or
  2. AEDP Immersion Course
    AEDP Essential Skills: 1 year
    AEDP Core Training: 1 year
    Supervision hours: 20 individual or 30 Group                                                                                               or

Certified AEDP Therapist:
Completion of Level III AEDP Training and an AEDP Certification review process

Certified AEDP Therapist and Supervisor:
Completion of Certified AEDP Therapist requirements and an additional review process to become a Certified AEDP Supervisor
