AEDP with EMDR and IFS: An Integrative Approach

“I have all these training modalities in my tool-kit, now what do I do?”

With AEDP as her home base and the basis of her clinical practice and theoretical life, Natasha Prenn will give her ideas and specific examples of how she does the work with EMDR and IFS as adjunctive therapies. She will pull together similarities and differences, dos and don’ts and will provide her well-known cheat sheets for all three modalities.

Her main focus will be AEDP with EMDR and IFS but she will also draw on the work of Gendlin, Levine, Kurtz, Pat Ogden, Bollas, Feldenkrais and Bromberg to examine how different treatment modalities use various tools to help patients access the natural biologically based healing that is stored in the body and the right brain.

AEDP, EMDR and IFS all have different and in some ways similar ways to focus the work, stay on track and access “the unthought known” (Bollas) or what Feldenkrais calls “the elusive obvious.”

Come and join in what promises to be a lively discussion of how to use EMDR and IFS within what is already a complete theory and clinical practice, AEDP.

GETTING TO THE VENUE

Take the #1 Local-7th Avenue Subway to 116th St.
St Lukes’ entrance is on the south side of 114th Street (“Outpatient Bldg”). Once inside, look for posted AEDP signs and/or pick up an AEDP Seminar directions flyer from the security guard at the information booth just inside the building.

Cost per meeting is $60; $40 for graduate students; $25 for St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital staff at the door.  St. Luke’s-Roosevelt trainees attend for free.
