Day 1: Saturday, November 15th, 2014.
 10am to 6pm.

AEDP for Couples: Transforming Trauma and Disconnection

David Mars and Diana Fosha will show and tell how AEDP with individuals and AEDP for Couples link brain and body functioning to early infant and attachment-based neural networks.  Through the AEDP for Couples method, couples are catalyzed to move from discord and even from the brink of divorce, to the solid ground of earned secure attachment and the felt experience of love.

Diana Fosha will lay the groundwork by focusing on the relational, experiential and metaprocessing interventions that are the foundation of AEDP’s theory and practice for quantum change in healing trauma.

David Mars takes this work to couples treatment to help therapists create a secure base from which the couples’ relationship becomes a vehicle for profound healing and transformation.  David has been presenting his AEDP for Couples model on the West Coast, Southwest and Canada. Through videotape of clinical work and engaging interactions with the audience, David will demonstrate and bring to life the AEDP for Couples Method.

Day 2: Sunday, November 16th, 2014.
 10am to 6pm.

Advanced Workshop on the Community Healing of a Couple’s Trauma

(Attendance at the Day 1 Workshop is a prerequisite for participation in
the Advanced Day 2 workshop.)

Joining us from the SF Bay Area, will be a couple who had sought AEDP for Couples therapy for their distress. While the couple is on stage with David Mars, workshop participants will witness video of the couple’s first session and their remarkable eighth session with David. The goal of the couple’s presence will be both to teach the AEDP for Couples Method and to help the couple to integrate the changes they have made in treatment.

Diana Fosha, Karen Pando-Mars and four Assistants trained in the AEDP for Couple’s Method from the West and the Midwest will help facilitate the experience of learning.

Lunch hours on Day 1 and Day 2 will provide opportunities for round table discussions with David Mars, Diana Fosha, Karen Pando-Mars, Ben Beitin, Angela Decandia and the four Assistants. ( A delicous hot lunch will be provided on campus for each day and is included in the workshop fee. )
